HPC Venezuela C.A. (VHPC) (Puerto Ordaz, February 2008) completed the installation work on March 2007, for DEPOT (railway facility) of IAFE. (Instituto Autonomo Ferrocarriles del Estado) in Charallave, Miranda State.
Builder of the this railway line by order of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the IAFE (Instituto Autónomo de Ferrocarriles del Estado), is the Consortium Tuy Medio under the leadership of the Italian firm Impregilio, and consisting of Italian, British, Japanese and Venezuelan firms. Marubeni (Japan) built together with Kawasaki Plant Systems Ltd. the maintenance (DEPOT) shops. Per day 60.000 passengers can be transported. Total investment is USD 2,3 billions, of which USD 380 millions are for the first section. This was financed, apart from a Venezuelan development fund, by a credit of the Japanese Export Bank, Japan Bank for International Cooperation, and further Japanese banks. For the latter, the Nippon Export and Investment Insurance have given an export guarantee.
